Here are some of the things that you like to do:
- Scream. Loudly. But not out of anger or even being upset, I just think that you really like to hear your voice.
- Crawl very fast after the dogs or cat or even the other kids heels.
- Pull up on anything and everything. Especially walls and then bang on them with your tiny palms.
- Open up the plastics cabinet and pull out all the bowls and lids. You haven't learned to put them back yet.
- Watch Yo Gabba Gabba in the morning during breakfast.
Here are some things I like to do with you:
- Nightly baths. You started crying during bathtime a couple weeks ago, so we took a couple nights off. I think you're just in the phase where you are scared of the water, so we'll try again. Maybe mama will just hop in the tub with you.
- Our nightly routine as a whole really. Lullabies playing on the iPod and cuddles in the glider. It's my absolute favorite time of the day.
- Go for strolls around the neighborhood.
- Read books. Right now we're almost through with The House at Pooh Corner by A.A. Milne.
- Play peek-a-boo. You just laugh and laugh!
You've also been saying "dada" for a few weeks. Still not even slightly close to saying "mama" yet though. And I am pretty dang sure your first word will be "dog." And my goodness, do you love music! You clap your little hands and smile.
The biggest accomplishment? Just last week you pulled yourself up on my legs while we were playing on the floor. Then you let go. And stood on your own for at least 30 seconds. It was such a happy and proud moment for mama!
I love you so much El. You have completely enriched my life. You are the best blessing.
