Nail Biting

El,

Over the past few days I've noticed that you are putting your hands in your mouth a lot again. But this isn't like it used to be. Not teething-hands-in-mouth. This is one tiny finger at a time. One little finger nail being chewed on. When did you pick this habit up? It's definitely something you picked up from seeing your father and I doing it. I guess I just didn't realize that you could pick these little things up already. You are one observant, smart cookie.

Love,
Mama

Updates: A long time coming!

El,

You have kept mama on her toes these past few months.  And I have been so busy with school and work that when I look at you I forget how big you have gotten.

You love to eat pizza, Goldfish, cereal, and yogurt.  Favorites, hands down.  We've been struggling with eating the proper amounts of food but Dr. says you are just fine and being a normal, albeit picky toddler.  Mama taught you how to dip foods and now you always want ketchup on your tray!

Henry.  Henry is still a huge part of your life!  Well, he's a little more I think than what he used to be.  We can't go anywhere without him.  We don't sleep without him.  It really is adorable.  You call him Neenee.  And he's your best friend.

Mama put together you're very first set of wheels about a month ago and you love going out on Saturdays after your nap and riding around in the backyard.  I was so surprised how quickly you understood how to push the little button and drive it yourself.

You sleep like a champ!  We've eliminated the second nap but everyday you will get up around 6:30am and have breakfast with mama and then play while Sesame Street or Yo Gabba Gabba is on until about 10:00am when you go down for your nap.  Naps are usually until 12-1:00pm.  And every night we go to bed about 7:30-8:00pm.  And you love your Build-A-Bear Dexter!  He serves as a great pillow.

I can't believe that I have a toddler.  WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?  You need to slow down and let mama enjoy the stages before I close my eyes to only open them to you starting Kindergarten and running off to play with your friends.

Love,

Mama
